The Falcon Book Nook

📚 Welcome to the Book Nook!

The Book Nook is a vibrant literacy space where students can explore stories that reflect their voices, cultures, identities, and dreams. At Frank R. Conwell Middle School #4, we believe that every student should have access to books where they can truly see themselves and others, represented.

In this space, students will:

  • 🍽️ Participate in Book Tastings — sampling a variety of genres and authors

  • ✍️ Engage in Author Studies — learning about the people behind the pages

  • 🎉 Celebrate Reading through Events — including themed displays, listening parties, and book clubs

Whether you're a reluctant reader or a future novelist, the Book Nook offers a welcoming environment to explore the power of storytelling.

Over the past seven years, the Book Nook at Frank R. Conwell MS4 has transformed from a simple vision into a vibrant community space. Originally conceived as a place where students could dive into books of their choosing, it has since blossomed into an inviting hub that supports both student and teacher engagement. Today, students still come to the Book Nook to explore their love for reading, but it has also grown to serve as a gathering space where teachers meet for book clubs, fostering a shared culture of reading and learning. This evolution has enriched the school's environment, making the Book Nook a cherished corner for connection and growth through literature.
